Beginning Pottery Wheel Workshop

Service Description

*If students have previously taken the 6 week workshop, Liz and Jeff are kindly requesting that students don't repeat it for a second time. We recommend signing up for our next level classes to refine skills. *This workshop is run back to back as it tends to fill quickly. If students were unable to sign up for this workshop, it will be included in future emails. Our Beginning Pottery Workshop is designed to begin with a foundation of skills in throwing on the pottery wheel. This course will cover, throwing functional ceramics, trimming and glaze application. We will also include demonstrations of how to add texture to your pottery. This class is designed for students with no experience and those with previous wheel experience who would like to refine basic pottery wheel skills. $285 course includes: -6 classes of instruction. -Open Studio throughout the duration of the class. -25lbs of clay -Studio glazes and firings -Tools provided Some students will go through their bag of clay through the workshop. Additional clay may be purchased at the studio if needed. Open studio is during business hours only and there is no instruction but a time for you to practice or catch up on work. Minimum age is 18 years old. We do not accept outside clay and glazes for this class. One week grace period for students to finish their work who do not plan on joining the studio as a member. If students would like to join as a member, they can continue on by purchasing the punchcard membership after the workshop. Glazing class required after finishing the 6 week workshop if students plan to join as a member. A processing fee will be charged for any cancellations.
