Two classes of instruction. The first class we will be working on throwing bowls. Students can throw a 3lb and 5lb bowl or the weight of their choice. The second class students will trim and work on how to finish off shaping the bowl by trimming. Demonstrations will be done throughout the classes on how to achieve specific bowl shapes. These two classes will be focused on refining techniques on throwing bowls, different approaches on centering larger amounts of clay and successful methods on how to keep bowls from warping. Experience is required. Students will need to know how to center their own clay. Glazing will be done individually during open studio times after mugs have been bisque fired. If you are not a member, you may come back during a later open studio time to glaze for an additional cost ($6.25 an hour) to utilize the studio. When glazing larger bowls, we can assist you on how to do so during open studio time. Monday, June 20th and Monday June 27th. 5:00-6:45pm Clay, firings and glazes included in the price. Minimum age is 18 years old.
If we do not receive notification on your cancellation request within 3 business days of class a full refund may not be issued.
